A MESSAGE FROM THE CEO

I have to confess that no matter how busy I get, the one thing I always endeavor to do is to make sure I write this monthly message to you.

Like clockwork, Timothy (our very dear Regional Manager) always reminds me that it’s time to send the message for the month, and I take a moment to sit back and reflect.

I suspect that writing this monthly message has now become my way of taking stock, of deducing what we have achieved and more importantly figuring out what we have learned and finding out how we have grown, because more important than any other metric for me whether personally or professionally – is growth.

You see the difference between us as sentient beings and wild animals –  is exactly that – we have the opportunity to grow mentally, emotionally, spiritually – not just physically, but only if we try.

I am becoming more and more convinced that actually, that is the meaning of life! That we must constantly be moving to be more – and no, I don’t mean more in the sense of acquiring material things (and this is where a lot of people do get it wrong) I mean growth in the sense that we are becoming who or what we were always meant to be.

The ultimate reality about this is that it takes work, one cannot be lazy and achieve growth and so many things around us remind us of this, without effort you cannot carry a heavy load, without effort you cannot bring a life into the world. Therefore; you require effort to learn new things and the moment you master those things, it’s time to move on to learning the next thing! Yes – there is no letting up, we stop merely to catch our breath and to enjoy the process – because it must be enjoyed otherwise it’s pointless! The laws of physics agree – Newton’s first law of motion– sometimes referred to as the law of inertia states that An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force. So yes, it is critical to stay in motion always, so when the forces come to unbalance you-you are prepared because you never stopped moving, they may momentarily deter you but they should never stop you.

So maybe life is circular and we are somehow returning to the all-knowing wisdom we had when we were babies and acted purely on instinct and a complete peace, wisdom, and oneness with our spirituality!

In my next message, I’ll share with you how this is linked to what causes us to be anxious! quite revelatory! For now, have a purpose-filled May and let’s Slay……. all the obstacles in our path 🙂
