OUR TOP THREE 2023 MARKETING TRENDS

Welcome to a brand New Year! Freshly minted and promising to deliver on all our hopes and dreams as New Year’s tend to. There’s a lot of information on the top trends for 2023 including the metaverse, AI, NFT’s and more – but not all of these trends are relevant or applicable in Africa. So we looked at our past results and did some projecting into the future to share what HAS worked and what we predict will help your business grow in 2023. See if you and your team are taking advantage of these top 3 marketing trends.

SHORT VIDEOS

In 2022 we saw major success with short videos for the clients we supported with content marketing. Instagram reels and TikTok's may be to blame (or thank?) for the popularization of this format. As a business reaching your customer where and how they’d like is what determines business success. The good news is that a number of scheduling tools are planning to integrate these formats so it should be easy enough to plan and schedule content this year.

CONTENT CREATORS /INFLUENCERS

Speaking of staying relevant and appearing in the channels and formats where your customers are, there is A LOT of content on the world wide web and sorting through it authoritatively is actually where Influencers come in. A trusted Influencer guides their audience through discovery, vetting and decision making - so ignore this trend at your own peril. We’ve had some of our best performing content through partnerships with Influencers/ content creators who are better able to understand the emotional drivers of the audiences we are trying to reach in ways we could never. It just has to be done in the right way with the right measuring tools, which we’ve developed through partnerships.

LINKEDIN

Bet you didn’t see this one coming? 2022 was a great year for our B2B clients and linkedIn - we help clients like SA_NG Business chamber to garner hundreds of B2B leads for new chamber members as well as enhance their online footprint. Linkedin is expected to account for 25% of B2B advertising in two years. In conclusion however; it can be easy to get distracted by shiny digital objects like the metaverse, AI and NFT’s, while in truth - it is in focusing on the foundations of digital marketing (especially in Africa) that will have the highest ROI . So get in touch with us to optimise your digital ads, SEO, website, email, social media, community and reputation management (what we like to call your site, search, social and mobile efforts).
